Texas Tech 10 Million Dollar Portal Season

Or are like many have posted your just getting older and finding other ways to spend your time?

I’m down for whatever you want to do but these comments always come off like when people were trying to boycott the NFL.

Perhaps. But the key is that there wasn’t a replacement to the NFL as CFB was going through a similar thing. To walk away from professional CFB to watch actual professional football isn’t that difficult to make that transition. You just schedule house duties on Saturdays instead of Sundays.

I can’t imagine Tech would get his NIL money back if he didn’t play would they? Kind of amazed the kid even wants to play as he’s definitely public enemy #1 now. Just take your money, sit a year and go pro.

Unless a lawsuit stops him 100%.

You’re the only person not affiliated with TT who thinks Tech will do the “noble” thing and not play him. That still makes me laugh that you believe that. Just fantastic stuff

Think about that- those affiliated with Tech think he won’t play vs emotional randoms thinking he will. Odd you’d think he’ll play if those affiliated with Tech don’t.

You must mean those affiliated with Tech see no reason NOT to play him. I’ve seen some of that, but not much

I would think the sportsbooks would come out against him playing. I would think people would stop betting if they believed games were rigged.

As in those affiliated with tech that drink the kool aid so hard that they think the school can do no wrong.

As long as their sugar daddy wants him he is there. I can’t believe you said Tech would be noble about this. Just wild stuff

As it should, this is just comical as Cody is funding Cruz to pass his bill in Congress that Tech pulls this BS.

Needed something like this for the offseason, the mileage is gonna be excellent
I think because of this external pressure applied to TTech they will be forced to remove him from the team. The other big 12 teams are going to have a difficult time boycotting conference games with TT because it puts them in a bad spot with the TV partners who want their inventory. But if the Big 10, SEC, and ACC do shun TT and not schedule them in any sports going forward, I’m not sure how the legitimacy of their athletic department survives.

Those drinking koolaid and thinking the school can do no wrong are generally NOT the ones saying he won’t play. They feel Tech is in right and victims of being unfairly targeted

Those that see Tech as virtuous generally think they’ll not play him, despite other schools using the courts to circumvent rules. They may even talk about leaving the ncaa!

Sorsby using the courts to get eligibility and Sorsby playing are two completely different things

Winner. if Campbell wants him to play the school isn't going to go against that. And Campbell needs to buy a championship for his ego.

That’s part of it, but no, that isn’t the primary driver. My life hasn’t changed that much and it doesn’t explain me going from “I want season tickets for the rest of my life and have this be something I do with my wife, kids, and grandkids” to “I don’t think I’m interested in getting tickets anymore” in the span of a few years.

And I also actually have been pretty much boycotting the NFL for several so I have a little bit of experience. Although this wouldn’t be a boycott as much as no longer being interested/no longer being a fan

Same way their football team does, play conference and then schedule G5’s.

Unless Cody wants him gone and sign off on it then he’s playing. He basically owns the AD and didn’t pay all those millions to not have a QB and get bounced from the playoff immediately again
