Purdue confirmed for Dec. 5.

"Three of the top six scorers are back" sounds nice if you ignore that it's #4-5-6 and #1-2-3 accounted for ~65% of that scoring. Normally when you say something like that, it's #2-4-6 or something.

I expect Toure and Batemon both make big steps are scorers though.

I am way more concerned about the amount of assists graduated. 4/5th of the primary ball handling graduated. Toure is capable of filling some of that, but there are multiple other players that also need to step up.

On a plus, having both Pleta and BB back is huge. I expect jumps from both.

I’m much more concerned about the off ball guard than the point guard. Toure and Batemon were very good freshmen in running the offense when needed. I assume they’ll be even better as sophomores We just need a guy that can get buckets on their own when called upon. Lipsey and Jefferson are two big losses there.

I didn't see Batemon as a PG. He looked like a prototypical scoring 2 to me.
Johnson will alleviate the 2nd PG concern.
Will also allow Toure to continue to be feisty on D. He does have a tendency to pickup a REALLY quick foul or two.
