Milan Momcilovic tweets "entering NBA draft and portal"

I don’t get why he’s delaying it so much, he knows the options. Either he’s gonna go get a bag at Kentucky or St John’s or he’s gonna be an early/mid 2nd round pick. He states he wants to be in the NBA, he is who he is at this point and I doubt he will improve his draft stock any better than he did this year.
Likely trying to secure a deal with a team that is good enough to skip his last year.

smart move
That's what I just told my son when he told me Momcilovic was withdrawing from the NBA Draft...I said good move on his part. He should get a hefty bag of money. Bummed for us. But I think we'll be "ok" ;-)

Question is would he even want to come back? Hes gonna be a 3rd option on a loaded Kentucky team
Blum and Williams have said for the last week or so on their podcasts that there is 0% chance Milan returns to ISU.

Good luck to Milan. Batemon - your turn to take the reins for the 3 point weapon

I am a little surprised he is not staying in the draft. Maybe the NBA is really not likely for Milan? I thought his shooting abilities would be enough to get in the door.

But why? Simply just money I assume? Only thing that sucks about this is when he does make the NBA it’ll say Kentucky as his school

One trick pony and lacks athleticism. Next year draft is super weak though and he will have a much better shot at a guaranteed contract

This should not be a surprise at all. He’s not a lottery pick, but he will get lottery pick money with this decision. What he is getting offered is just too much to pass up.

I’d like to know too. If Iowa State offered him 6 million to come back do we really think he’d say no? If he would he must have really disliked it here.

I think next year will look a lot like the Sweet 16 year when we lost to Illinois. Gritty and tough on defense, average on offense. I think we'll probably be a bit better on offense assuming Batemon and Toure make jumps on offense.

I would love to have Milan on the roster next year and we would be a better team with him, but its no secret he was a weak link on defense. Multiple games teams would do switches to get him on the ball handler, so having a guy like Bond out there in place of Milan at the 3 should at least help on defense.
