Count me in with the "old" crowd. I used to hang around Ames at an early age and remember all those places you listed. And to add to that, we used to go to Ruttle's to grab a burger after games. My daughter is almost 8, and found an old picture taken looking south from mcdonalds i think? Seeing the happy joes sign, save u more i believe it was, and the 20th century bowling alley sign hit me so freaking hard. I feel old man
I dont know if im old enough for ruttles. we used to get post game suppers at legends "penthouse"Count me in with the "old" crowd. I used to hang around Ames at an early age and remember all those places you listed. And to add to that, we used to go to Ruttle's to grab a burger after games.

We fired him, yet he's never uttered a single negative word about Iowa State and is one of our biggest ambassadors.Boy you've got to give a lot of credit to Coach Mac. He's stayed loyal to ISU after all these years, makes it back a lot. Saw him during BB season. He is just a stand up full on Cyclone!
That part always amazes me. He easily could have just walked away and never came back pretty sure he even came back a few times when he was at North Texas(?)We fired him, yet he's never uttered a single negative word about Iowa State and is one of our biggest ambassadors.
Won't it be great Cyclone Nation when we all realize Matt Campbell isn't the only guy that can lift Iowa State to new heights in football...but maybe Jimmy Rodgers can too!
We'll see how it goes and honestly a season is a long process as things ebb and flow but I get more of a 'just do the ****ing thing like we practiced and expect' vibe which imo is a good fit in the current era.
