    Suggestions for Falling/Staying Asleep!!

Taking Magnesium has helped me with restless legs at night. I also struggle with falling to and staying asleep. Exercise is supposed to help with sleep. I'm not sure I have noticed a difference on days when I am active vs not.

    Stanley Kubrick: Love or Hate

The beautifully constructed shots. The lighting. The dialogue. The long takes. His movies truly are cinema.

    Hy-Vee-What's up?

I recently moved near a Hyvee in Minnesota and it's awesome. I love the smaller size (compared to a Cub foods) and the selection seems great. I always thought the Hyvees in Ames back in the late 2000s were a dump. Reminded me of Cub foods but worse. Maybe they have updated since then. But...

SEC signs 10-year deal with ABC/ESPN

CBS college football just gives me the heebie jeebies. I think it's the cold blue aesthetic. I prefer a warmer ABC or Fox.

    ***2020 Masters***

Bryson's body language during that post-round interview just looked like excuses/lies. It's just too easy to pick on this guy. Him making the cut could be enjoyable to watch this weekend. Golf is more fun when you have guys to root for and against.

    Nation’s leading rusher??

Ibrahim is a really good back. No need to be butthurt over who's considered "leading rusher". It's a weird year and if the Gophers played more games, he might in fact be leading in yards too. Just enjoy the Breece the Beast ride.

Have you ever had a paranormal experience?

Right after college I lived with 5 guys in a big old house. One night during the weekend, I woke up suddenly and had this suspicious feeling that someone was in my closet. I got up to check and when I opened the closet door I found this girl standing in there facing the wall. It was a tiny...

OT: Since it's so close to Halloween...what's your favorite classic scary movie?

I agree. I think our imaginations can think of far scarier things than what some films show us on screen. Psych horror will also be far scarier to me than slasher films/jump scares. Once you know the scary parts, the film isn't really that scary on second viewing. Psych horror can linger and be...

OT: The Haunting of Bly Manor

Just finished Bly Manor. I thought it was beautifully shot and included some really great performances. The story wrapped up well, but was so tangled throughout that I found it exhausting to keep up at times. Was the Bly Manor house the same house as Hill House? The main foyer looked the same...

    North Shore MN recommendations

Oberg Mountain near Lutsen is a great hike. Wonderful views of Superior and the lakes to the west. Palisade Head offers wonderful views. You could hike around Tettegouche State Park and/or hike along a section of the SHT. I think Split Rock Lighthouse Park is a bit overrated (as you have to...
