    USS Arizona - After all this time . . .

    I, also, will be visiting the Pearl Harbor memorial in October with a group of friends. We will be in Hawaii for 2 weeks and this is what I’m looking forward to the most. My Dad was a WWII vet (Army) and was in the Battle of the Bulge.

    Rule changed years ago. Team gets 2 FT’s and team in possession keeps the ball. Tech had possession.

    I was coaching high school basketball at the time. You could hear the buzz in the crowd during our game. Then a loud cheer from the crowd when it was over. Had no idea who won until our game was over.

    A punt is a scrimmage kick and is a LIVE ball. The clock is running during a scrimmage kick. You’re confusing this with a free kick which is a kickoff.

    We are planning it all ourselves because we plan to stay for about 2 weeks. The packages basically are there for the time of the tournament only.

    A group of us have already started planning for the trip and looking for places to stay. Always said once I was retired if they go to Maui, we will be there. Can’t wait! Go Clones!

    Went to Louisville when we lost to UAB. Worst atmosphere ever been a part of. 20,000 seat arena with no more than 8,000 there. Kentucky had the next game and thus, had bought up all the tickets. Obviously had no desire to show up for our game. It was really disappointing.

    Golf in Ames.

    Took a golf class from Joan Gerhart (women’s golf coach) back in 1975. Homewood was the course we played. Fun course and at that time, we played it for next to nothing as a student.
