    Let me play around with this. I've never used the ISNUMBER function. The only thing I see is that for Row 2, I'd want a true answer as it is the same last name. I'll get back to you on this. Thanks for the help!

    I was thinking of "Text to Columns" this morning but the cell isn't set up as "First name, last name" for every cell. So when I convert it to space delimited, the last name could potentially be in the A, B, C, D, or even E cell and each row on down is different. This is driving me crazy!

    I'm working on a cashiering spreadsheet and am trying to find a way to exclude funds sent to the same person. For instance, in one row, the debit account (in B2) is "Estate of John Doe" and the credit account (in K2) is "John Doe". I am only interested where funds are being sent to someone else...
