    I didn't realize it was well-known he used these firms. I'm not trying to be a Pollard hater here, I just didn't know. If I were to guess, I bet we relied on them much more for the Chizik hire than any of our other hires, just because of the lack of ISU ties he had.

    Anyone see this this morning? It was about these coaching search firms in which the athletic director hires them to find candidates for the vacant coaching position at their school. From the report, it sounds like these fees for this service can cost anywhere from $10,000 to $100,000+...

    Exactly. Our coaches would be tripping over each other to hand any given 5* recruit the pen to sign his letter of intent to come here.

    I agree to a point, but think of it for TT's side. I think his current contract is up in two years, if he doesn't sign a long extension, it all but says he's gone after that, or seriously thinking about it. How negatively would that affect recruiting? I'd say a lot.

    I cracked up at some high school kid in the Army All-American game. He made his college decision live on the side line. He said something to the effect of "...and the school I chose to spend my next 3 years is....." I don't remember who it was but I think he was a DB heading to West Virginia...

    I don't know about this one. Granted, its very impressive. But couldn't he pay his own way to any school he wanted after he makes millions in the NFL? Maybe Oxford doesn't work like that. Does he lose his chance at ever going to this school if he doesn't go now? I think he could easily be a 2nd...
