Ayton wasn’t really a Nike guy and I don’t think Nike was behind the alleged payment IIRC. Marvin Bagley on the other hand signed with Puma after Nike paid his dad a ton of money to sponsor his AAU program. Trae Young is also supposedly considering Puma too.

You're right, I meant to include Bagley in my side note, but didn't.

If Trae did, Puma is a major player in the basketball market. The young generation would flock. Especially if their initial prototype is as cool as expected.

Nike isn't going to lose any sleep in regards to PUMA.
Right? Nike isn't shaking in their sneakers over these rookies. Nike still has LeBron, KD and Kyrie. Those three alone will astronomically destroy Ayton, Bagley and Young in sales.

Does Puma even have shoes available? It's been a long time since we had our sports store.

Nope, last basketball shoe was Puma Clyde's haha. They have a shoe that they are releasing this summer. But the only people who have seen those are the athletes they are pitching to.

Yikes, they do and it looks like they have the same designs from the 1980's. At least they are not outrageously priced like many Nike shoes.

I don't believe those are the new kicks. I think they released under 100 pairs of the retro Walt Frazier Puma Clydes at a location in New York, but haven't released the new pair to the public.

I wore these in high school for one season before Adidas came out with their shoes. Thank God for Adidas. That Puma was one heavy shoe.

I think I heard on the radio the other day that there was some celebrity ownership/involvement in Puma that has led to its resurgence, but I can't remember who they said it was.
Jayz and Beyonce I think.
