I didn't realize Euro leagues play a such a short season...

"....Obradoiro, which plays in Liga ACB in Spain, went 11-21 last season...."

What are the pros and cons of playing in Euro league for Matt?

Pros:
Travel the world
Free housing
More $$ than G League
Continue playing
Make lots of money for a long time

Cons:
Not the NBA
Long ways from home (if that is a con to him, hell, maybe he wants to be away from home)
Language Barrier?

Thats all I can think for cons, and I feel like I'm stretching

Thomas might be going after some money. Can't find concrete contract details but did find a post with the top 30 players all made over 1.200 million euro a season. Getting a 100k (euro?) contract looks standard.

G-League is apparently 35k-50k with a chance at some NBA contracts.

Just saw DeAndre Kane is going back to Isreal.

Matt's new club plays in the top flight but you don't get to play in any of the inter-Europe competitions unless you finish toward the top of the standings. That, combined with only 16 or so home games means he can't be getting paid the $500k that Babb apparently landed. But these guys have a good life, play at a decent level of competition.

It's not impossible to go from a top European league to the NBA. It seems to become less likely with more years. But he can make a good living for some years in Spain, that's for sure. And the game matches up with his skills very well.

Also don't get charged taxes when playing overseas so more income is kept.
