Basically he doesn't count against the cap, he can spend x days with the Nuggets (I think 45 or 60) at the league minimum and then they retain control of him in the G League and he makes the G League salary.

Yeah, just read about that type of contract. Basically combines the G League salary with a part of the season at rookie minimum (the article I saw said $280k/year, best case scenario).
