I got a message from the school district we are in that one of the elementary schools is closing January 30th and 31st due to so many kids being sick.

So what's the bug stuff going around? Just generic colds and flu stuff or that nasty Norovirus thingie that was going around in the fall and early winter?

Wife came home sick yesterday before lunch. She is not good sick person.
I can usually power through a lot of stuff (cough, sinuses, nausea, low energy), but when I feel like someone worked my upper body over with a bat, I'm perfectly fine laying in bed and being a pansy for an evening. I've learned over the years that if I don't listen to that warning siren, I'm gonna be much worse the next day.

What my wife had consisted of fairly light respiratory symptoms but really sapped the energy from her for almost 2 weeks. Neither my daughter that was home from school or I got it. It may have been influenza A. I got the flu shot in the fall but she didn't this year and my daughter was pretty sick for a while this fall.

Someone I work with was out for a week with Influenza A. She said she stayed in bed and almost slept for 4 days straight. I haven't known her long enough to know if it was really that bad or a bit of hypochondriac, but she said she has never experienced anything like that before in her life.

Not exactly sure.

That is what I’ve seen. I went in 5-6 months ago with those symptoms and a sore throat. Thought I had strep. It was Covid. I think another wave has hit.

Went to the bar for lunch. My foreman said if we win the shake of the day, then we can take the rest of the day off. His 3rd and final shake he hits 5 3s, and wins half the pot. We're taking the rest of the day off.

We're basically ready to set trusses and that's not happening until Wednesday.
You still working with those 2 young women?

We don't think she had Covid. She did take a test (although the test was slightly expired).

You can order four more free tests again now. I did and they're ones with extended expiration dates. Finally threw away the rest of what we had for years, all of which had expired extended expiration dates.

How do we go about ordering them? Is there a link?

TIA

We just threw out a bunch of them as well.

Anyone else feel like you’re the only god damn person in your house that knows that the dryer lint vent needs to be cleaned before using the stupid thing?
