The metric that I look to is that TJ plays him.

Is TJ perfect, nope but a **** of a lot closer to it than anyone on this board and 99% of CBB coaches right now.

I think he has a pretty good handle on the rotation that works and Heise is a key part of it.
Correct, you gotta have 5 guys in the floor. Who else was he supposed to put out there? Really Heise was the only option, they are small and we had to go small or we had no chance to guard them. He did his job.

I thought you said you played, you do understand five guys are the floor and each one has their own role right?
Tonight, I would have wanted neither of them with the ball in their hands, but I would have wanted them on floor. Both of which is exactly what TJ did too.
And we won. Only on CF would there be this much crapping over on one player following a win that doesn't happen if he's on the bench

If saying someone played bad relative to how they have played the rest of the season is “crapping” on a player, then sure I guess I did.

I never said I wanted them off the court, I never said a rotation should have changed, I just said they didn’t play as well as they have most of the season.

Makes me wonder if he *did* have a hand in one of the set pieces that got the win?
I'm really curious to see if there's any more said about it. Pretty cool moment to see. He's been back for what, like a week or two? Awesome to see he's integrated himself so quickly.

I'm also hoping we get to hear more of the background story about him coming back in general in the future. I loved watching DG play. He's one of my all time favorites. His senior year is when I became a diehard.

That was not bad defense.
When you are so physically overmatched and out of position that you provide zero resistance to the shooter then that's pretty bad defense. Funny how they attacked him twice in a row then and then fouled him out in OT.

I get it, absolutely zero criticizing players because we won. You understand we can be happy to pull out a huge win like that and also point out we didn't play that well overall and a couple guys had really rough games right?

We will never play a perfect game and there will always be a couple of players who don’t ball out. It’s okay. That’s sports. Just stack wins.
