This. It’s a great career move and he doesn’t even have to pack his stuff and move. There was no certainty that he was going to be a full time coach at ISU. There would need to be some exits and promotions for that to happen. Might as well get some good experience calling plays.

I wonder who Campbell has in mind for his replacement.

If CMC is around for the duration of his current contract, I don't thing Jamie will be the one making the next HC hire either. That will probably be Jamie's successor.

We have no idea if Sage or Bret would be good coaches. We already know that Kyle is a good coach.

Which is why he got a promotion. All I’m saying is that losing a good analyst doesn’t automatically mean there’s going to be a downgrade.

No, they’re probably not. Although it IS a position where you don’t need to recruit and you could probably do a lot of it remotely. All I’m saying is losing an analyst is not a huge loss no matter who it is. Happy for Kempt though. If he wants to move up the ladder, this was a step he needed to make.
