Colorado is a very well coached team. Going to be hard for teams to beat in Boulder this year.

Interesting that we only played 8 guys last night. I think that’s the first time playing so few guys this season. We were all worried how TJ would pare down minutes and find the right lineup combos but last night felt like a perfect mix of rotations.

He's the top high school recruit, considered the top pick in the upcoming NBA draft, and he's a white American in a black sport. Are you new to college athletics? That's getting shoved down our throats if he's playing basketball in Maine.

The media/NBA wants an American to help boost ratings. With LeBron/Steph/KD closer to the end of their careers, they need someone, otherwise the top 5 players are arguably all international players.

The game was close/in doubt nearly the entire 40 minutes, not surprised the third string didn't see any time.

Martin let us incorrectly pronounce his name while he was at ISU! His kid pronounces it Ran-shiek rather than Ran-sick. 6-9 Freshman with 3 points, 2 blocks, 4 rebs in 16 minutes did his dad proud!
I loved watching his dad play on some very good teams. I’m only 43 and seeing my favorite players sons play from when I was young makes me think I’m 63.

I have a growing suspicion we mispronounce a lot of ISU player’s names. Preparing myself for Jaylin to be pronounced: No-ell at his next stop.

Vs our ISU pronunciation of Knoll

CU had 10 more turnovers, 7 fewer rebounds, 11 fewer shot attempts, 14 fewer foul shots and 11 fewer makes.

ISU did not shoot well but the above helped get them that 10 point win
ISU shoots their avg and finishes a few more at the rim this could’ve been a blowout.

A little surprised that KSU beat Cincinnati.
I was actually pulling for the Poo-Tangs (just threw up in my mouth). My reasoning: KSU may very likely lose their next 6 games (pretty difficult schedule to start the conference) & wanted to see a pretty darn good Cinci team get knocked down a bit.

I watched that whole game, Cincinnati did not look like a Top 20 team, they looked like the same bubble-team they were last year.

They are but I don't understand why he played Malone (50) so much. Jackson and Chatfield just owned him. It was all he could do to get up and down the court. And then there were the 2 tre's he took. Their 2 skinny bigs were much more athletic and really altered a lot of shots when they were in.

All very good points.

#1 - felt a little like the Marquette game in that regard (although I think they just tied) and also like Iowa where we were behind for most but never really felt out of it.

#3 - my biggest concern so far this year is the defensive rotations. I know this is not picky given where we are and I don’t want to rile people up by being “negative” after a win, but the amount of wide open looks we’ve given up this year seems so much higher than last 3. Maybe my imagination. To your point we seem to make up for it elsewhere but something seems off.

#5 - the assist to FG numbers was probably down largely because of missed shots but we made up for it with an insane offensive rebounding night. All of those buckets eliminated possibility for assist and the miss negated several. Another sign of this team doing what it take to get it done.

I wonder when the last time we had that many offensive rebounds?
Felt this was the best we’ve looked with defensive rotations this year, other than maybe Auburn in Maui . Those games just had a different pace to them

They were missing an 11-ppg guy, that is probably why any CU minute distributions were a bit off.
