They're remodeling the other side of the office. The construction workers are listening to Lionel Richie

My sumac is starting to turn now. It's kind of a dull rusty red that should convert to a bright red if there's enough sugar stored in it. The hackberry behind it is already going over to gold. When they both turn, I have my own little Cyclone Corner. :D
Nice place for senior pictures? j/k ;)

Took my sons on their first harvest tractor ride the other night. The oldest (20 mo.) is obsessed with tractors and was having an absolute BLAST - right up until dad wanted to take a picture of him sitting with my cousin to capture the moment...

Going to be fun to break out this photo again for his high-school graduation :prohm:

Little boy me was scared of tractors. That was back in the day of old Johnny Poppers and big flopping belts running off of flywheels to power other equipment.

I was having similar flashbacks to riding with my dad in a noisy, dust filled, rough riding New Holland harvester... kids these days, I tell ya! ;)

Cab! You lucky son of a gun, Super m is the 1st thing I remember driving very far, MF 65 was what I hauled silage in with. Cabless 1130 for field work, heat houser on it for plowing in the fall. But I got to do all that and am really glad I did.

I have to sit in on a worthless meeting twice a week where they discuss potential new customers. I have to listen to bring up any concerns I might have over their current automation environment. Today I have one (another one sunsetting the mainframe) that they have been trying to get for 3 years. I look at their document and the automation is a ?. How have you been trying to get this for 3 years and don't know what they are using for their automation tool?

Sales: That's just details.

Engineering: No, that's the whole enchilada...

There's a bar we go to occasionally that has a pull tab shake, where you buy a pull tab, it goes in the box, then you have 3 shakes for 5 of a kind to win the box, bartender does first roll. It was just me and my coworker last night, I buy 2 pull tabs because he usually doesn't do any of the shakes. So I go first, nothing. Then I give him the other pull tab, bartender rolls 5 ones, and he wins.

The box had to contain over 500 pull tabs. Took us 45 minutes to open them with the 2 of us and bartenders helping us. We ended up with $487 which we split between the two of us. Not one $250 or $500 winners though.

We’re in DSM airport and I’m seeing people in Hawkeye clothing everywhere. Even shared a shuttle with family of four all decked out. Looked up schedule - they’re at home today for 11 am game. Lordy. What is up with these people?
We are wearing ISU shirts so counteracting it somewhat.
