Just won a $150 on a $5 scratcher where all 20 games were winners. Never had that before.
Got to meet my newest grand nephew Friday, I'm not sure if there is anything more relaxing than a new baby sleeping on your chchest.i agree. I got to hold a wee one for a while yesterday. Seven weeks old. He was yhe son of Lew's sister's grandddaughter.. I think that makes him a great grand nephew. I dunno. Morning brain here...I'll have to ponder this one for a bit.
Sorry...wasn't meaning to sound like I was correcting you!Yeah I'm not sure if it's great or grand but I rolled with grand like you do with grandparents.
No I didn't take it that way, I really don't know which is correct. I figure grand doesn't make me sound quite as old.Sorry...wasn't meaning to sound like I was correcting you!
What do you do with them?I've never eaten s'mores
Well that's clear as mudView attachment 130775
I sometimes have to care, but I just hit up a consanguinity chart.
I'm good on cousins, second cousins, cousins once or twice or more removed. Where I stumble is with the great/grand nieces & nephews. It's not consistent in common vernacular. I refer to my nieces' children as my grandnieces/nephews, but their mother refers to me as their great-aunt. Oy.View attachment 130775

Thanks! I think it's grand too, mostly for consistancy's sake. But you very rarely hear people say grand aunt or grand uncle. It's weird.Ii think you are their grand-aunt. You are always grand!

Changing lanes on a solid white line? Ummmm...not supposed to.I thought passing on a solid white line was prohibited by code or law or something similar. Am I wrong?
Today we saw passing and changing lanes over solid white on I35 northbound, north of Des Moines. SMH.Changing lanes on a solid white line? Ummmm...not supposed to.
