I get the bulk of my information from reliable sourced news outlets and contributors off Twitter (I refuse to call it "X"). There are a lot of people who post their reporting there who I either have come to trust as being reliable for years and years or have learned that they are trustworthy by seeing that what they post checks out with other reputable news sources.
XM radio is in my vehicle and one of the stations programmed into it is the MSNBC simulcast. I don't like all their shows, but will listen when something big is happening or expected to happen, especially after work (Nicole Wallace is great). I rarely watch local news anymore. Even they have become so one-sided at times. It's frustrating when you *know* there's another side to what's going on, but they don't report it, regardless of subject. If the other party (or parties) haven't been available for comment yet, just f-ing say so. How difficult is that? Anymore, I usually only tune into local channels for severe weather updates. Even local sports became unwatchable with the nonstop CC worship.
Probably I find out more local stuff from CF than anyplace else, which is weird, but this is a reasonably reliable source of information and people are usually pretty good about providing links to where their info is coming from, which I appreciate.
