We’ve seen some great wins from this Cyclone team this year, but tonight was one of the most satisfying victories. Extremely happy for the seniors to go 18-0 at Hilton and send BYU home losers to Hilton Magic.
On to the Mildcats and their paranoid coaching staff….

Not sure about others but this win feels about as good as any I can remember in recent years.

Love to beat the $hit out of Iowa in Hilton and love wins against great teams like Houston and KU, but this felt big.

Probably the rare second half comeback and would have just hated to send our seniors out with a loss. Also playing for a two seed or possibly a one if we get some help from elsewhere.

Opening of Sports Center tonight called out that we went 18-0 at Hilton this year and went 0-18 in conference only three years ago. Let that sink in for a minute…
Had to be an all timer in person. Senior night, undefeated home record on the line, atrocious officiating getting the crowd all riled up, huge comeback, crazy defensive plays down the stretch.

Those who were there, where do you rank it.

Special shout-out to the fan close to the TV mike.
"********, what a ******** call."
"Cmon red, get your head outta your ass"
Several other lines.

Weird that Jess Settles is a bigger ISU fan than many of the whiny ******* on this site that consistently give up on us.

I normally don't look at or much less post on game threads during the actual game, but I couldn't help taking a gander during the first half and the first few minutes of the second half tonight.

I think there's some trolling going on, but yes, otherwise it can be a sh!t show in here. Why it's called CycloneFanatic, I suppose.

Yeah, speaking of that, where did the BYU fans go that were so complimentary of Hilton and our fans once we took the lead back in the second half?

Might be our biggest comeback this year? As a backup, Cujo had 32 minutes . At about the 1-2 minute mark, it looked like ISU had an over and back , but nothing was called. Did BYU deflect the ball? I had the sound turned off, so I am not sure if it was explained by the announcers.

Cut them some slack. We all get emotionally invested and when things go south, some people get into the grieving process. Denial, anger, bargaining, depression. Would be nice if some people wouldn't use CF as a journal to cope.

Well that was a hell of a game. Great crowd on Sr. night and the boys found a way to comeback and gut out a win. 8 consecutive stops helped that in the 2nd half. Crowd was feisty early then got angry with the refs, then got quiet as BYU built the lead but then came back in full force as we mounted the comeback. Gritty game by all of them.

@CyCoug that's a heck of a team you've got there hope you make the NCAAs.

Look I think we are underselling this game. It wasn’t just that we were down at half. Or 14 early in the second. We were down by like 10 with under 12 to go. We’d get some stops and then couldn’t score. We’d score but give up a basket. And then we clawed our way back in it but then those poor kids must have had the most tired legs. Luckily because of our defense byu also had tired legs

I will say I saw a tweet about our offense at half saying that we don’t do as well when we drive it in the paint and toss up a shot that doesn’t go in without moving the ball back and forth or tossing it back outside. I think that’s part of the problem with the offense the last week or so. The ball movement has been lacking.

One thing I will say is it was nice to get some basketball Gods on our side. In the final minutes we did give up I think three wide open threes and they missed all of them. Seems like teams always make those, so good to get some luck with them missing those too. We’ve deserved that for some time.
What I've really noticed this season is how our pressure "D" and depth has paid dividends down the stretch in close games.

Around and after the 10 minute mark of the 2nd half is when ISU really starts to wear teams out.

That happened again tonight. And gassed teams will miss open shots, turn the ball over, etc. Which is exactly what BYU did in crunch time.

Even after having to come back from 14 down, we still had more gas in the tank than BYU in the end.

I'm curious what was conveyed by coaches or players that lead to the late turnaround. The last two games have had a strong 2000 team vibe. Basically they get to a point in the game and decide the opponent is more or less done scoring. Last night was even more remarkable as they were shredding us with ball movement up to that point.
