We could start by spelling Demarion right
I thought having your name mispelled half the time was how you know you've "arrived" with Cyclone fans.

It's like having Weird Al do a parody of one of your songs. Means you finally made it!

Way up there
Over the last two years, he's been up and down, sometimes never seeing the floor but he's always engaged on the bench. Those are the guys you love to see have success.

Looking forward to next year, he doesn't have to score double figures, he just needs to consistently give us 3 or 4 baskets and 4 or 5 rbs. We'll have enough scoring around him, all he'll need to do is make the easy buckets he gets.

He needs more minutes over certain other players. Been pretty clear for a couple weeks.

Seems like all the starters have had bad hair nights, where the shots are off, fouls are high, or they have multiple turnovers. It is good that there are reserves that can expand their minutes if needed. Expecting high energy offense, defense, and rebounding requires increased substitutions. This could be THE year for a final four. All players should understand that - teamwork is everything for the next month. Next year, DW should be a starter, with all 3 bigs moving on (DRE, Ward, King). That leaves unproven Rock, Fish and Omaha as available C/F. I think Curt Jones might also be gone next year? I consider him as a very solid 6th man, since he is number 4 in scoring and minutes and is #1 in assist/TO ratio.

Crap, I didn't think we'd see one of these for a couple of weeks.

To which "certain players" do you refer?

Maybe he's under the impression that Watson and Pav play the same position like Coach Z, even though they play entirely different roles on the team.

Every time a bench guy has a good game are we going to do this “TJ is distributing minutes wrong” thing?

We’ve got 28 games worth of data points. What the stats that Evan Miya generates that measure how well the team plays with that player tells a pretty shocking story.

Based on team performance, TJ is playing the minutes pretty much perfectly. If last night spring boards Watson, he’s going to get more minutes, and rightfully so. But the idea that TJs been wrong for games 1-27 because a guy has a great game #28 when the team efficiency stats and Beyesian stats absolutely show TJ is playing this beautifully.

I really feel like Watson could make a major leap from Sophomore to junior year. Put on 10-15 pounds of muscle on that frame and work on that corner 3 all offseason.

If Biliew comes back and you grab a high-end transfer the ceiling of the frontcourt next year could be extremely high.

That doesnt even take into account 7'1"" JT Rock who at this point is a total wildcard. So interested to see how TJ will utilize him.

I think Watson looks like he got significantly bigger and stronger vs last year.

He’s got the athletic golden ticket, and he’s going make a big jump and be a real weapon next year.

The great thing is whatever he ends up developing offensively next year, he’s going to be able to have a home defensively. He’s got so much defensive versatility.

Good points. Watson has performed and is a great contributor but he doesn't have a huge offensive arsenal at this point. I'm more than happy to defer to the decisions of the guy on the national coach of the year short list.

What happened to ZRF?

I figured he'd be all over this thread telling everyone how he told us Watson needed more minutes and the rest of us were dumb for being content with his role.
