I've lived all over the nation, all with something that makes it uniquely beautiful. Nowhere is better than anywhere else. At least not in a sweeping fashion. Ames is beautiful in its own way. And, above most it's the people that define its beauty. I traveled to every Big8 (yes. that old) school during college. Everywhere, again, had something truly wonderful about it.
When I played at other schools, I was the one reaching down to pick the opponent up off the ground. If nothing else, a show of respect and good sportsmanship.
I watched the replay yesterday. I'm truly confounded how people can get so worked up over trivial matters. While I laughed at the people behind the bench when he got the "T", at the same time I was truly embarrassed how adults could behave so childishly. I guess I was just raised in an era with a little more respect and cordiality.
The ISU fans got riled up due to what Tang and his coaches were doing, waving about, saying, complaining.
The KSU coaches got riled up for some reason, we may never know what it really was about. I find it hard to believe what some fans say they say, is true. It's hearsay. Somebody knows. We won't, most likely.
Iowa State, the school, and it's fans have been in the Big 8, and the Big 12 a long time. We know good sportsmanship, and good competition. We pride ourselves by being fair and playing by the rules. Something is fishy about this whole thing.
It's making for an entertaining first half of the conference season, that's for sure.
