Whether or not we beat the spread will be entirely on TJ. When does he empty the bench and does he have them use the full shot clock to speed up the game in the second half.
Ideally, ISU can build a cushion fairly early, then maybe intermingle some of the roster throughout the game, rather than going with a tighter rotation then going deep to the bench late. I have no idea whether TJ would do it that way or want to take that approach, but it's a possible strategy.

To have that luxury, of course, you can't get mired in a dogfight for the first 30 minutes, or such.

Not sure what GB brings to the table this year, but they were one of the worst teams in CBB last year. Think like sub 350

They have a transfer, Noah Reynolds, who averaged 15 ppg at Wyoming last year as a Sophomore. He was going to transfer to Wisconsin but his older brother is on staff at GB. He might be good enough to keep them out of the bottom 300. Will be one of the best players in the Horizon League.

The rest of the roster is pretty blah.

I fully expect for the first 10-15 minutes to look somewhat ugly, and maybe thats because thats what Ive come to expect from TJ's teams during game 1. I hope there are enough of the same faces that cohesion is not an issue, but I expect by the 2nd half, we start to really pull away

#361 last year on Torvik. Only ahead of Hartford and LIU-Brooklyn.

Projected #304 this year on Torvik (#9 in the Horizon ahead of IUPUI and IUPUFW).

They suckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkked and will probably suck again.

Nice of them to come down from Wisconsin and be a punching bag tonight.

I can see it being kind of a scramble and ending in a 15ish point ISU win which is fine.

is it here?

Is it really today?

I haven't looked forward to the start of a season more than this one in a LONG time! I know I set myself up for disappointment, but TJ hasn't steered me wrong yet. Prep is there, work is there, gameplan is there, recruiting is there.

Now we can have nice things!

GO CYCLONES!

I’m really looking forward to this season. T.J. has already proved in his first two seasons that he can put together a competitive team with not much talent overall. This years teams seems to be loaded with talent from top to bottom. This could be a very special season. Three basketball games this week, plus the football game Saturday is going to make this a really exciting week.

I think if things go right, they will have a good shot at finishing the non-con with only one loss. And decent chance of being undefeated if they can upset A&M which isn't too far fetched on a neutral court (assuming that is who they end up playing).

I want Kelderman to get in there and drill two threes in a row.

And for all the posts on here to be "why isn't this kid starting."

:D
Who was the walk-on who hit a step-back 3 a few years back where the crowd went nuts, Schuster maybe?
