He has to be redshirting. Better to be practicing against big 12 bodies than South Dakota high school players.
At center we have MC Rob Jones and JT easy Rock. Sorry had to do it
I think this is a big deal for the 24-25 season.
Agree. Hard to see him in the rotation a year early, but getting ISU S&C and practice against ISU players will pay off.
Agreed. We’ll have a big in year two ready to roll vs a guy who’s trying to find where his biology class is.
Agree completely. I think his family knows with his size playing his senior year in HS wasn’t going to help him much. The NBA loves youth and JT has some size and skill, but has a lot of work to do. This gives him an extra year of development with the staff, practice, and strength and conditioning.
Happens every once in a while. I remember Race Thompson did it at Indiana. I only know that because we recruited him hard then he committed to Indiana all of a sudden and announced he'd enroll a year early.
Probably nowhere since he's going to the 2023 class.
Awesome news. Great move for a big guy too. Get that extra time with the staff and getting used to playing against high level players.
He wouldn’t graduate a year early to red shirt!
