It will get ground up into gravel, would be my guess.Question for those who know about such things, what do they do with all the old concrete? Shove it in a landfill somewhere or is there a way to recycle?

Lot of times they have a machine that grounds it up right as it being torn out. Not sure if they did that in this case though. It will get ground up into gravel, would be my guess.
Going to be very weird to have nice lots now. Use to looking at those busted up, badly painted, hole filled lots.Anyone else get a weird sense of satisfaction seeing those old busted parking lots getting pulverized?

Very interesting. Not on my Google Maps. Not a cache thing. Wondering if their data farms are not totally in sync.BTW the bridge and RV lots are on Google Maps now, not sure if its been that way for a while or not.
I think all the trees are going to get ripped out in this project. I'm sure they will bring in new ones.Sad that they had to rip out those sycamore trees between lots D3 and D4.
Wha saddens me is that I used to walk through all those exact same trees as a student.I think all the trees are going to get ripped out in this project. I'm sure they will bring in new ones.
Recycled Chizik coins. If they're raising the lots 5', that's a hell of lot of fill, but I guess they can grind the old stuff right there and use it as fill, but I imagine they still have to bring in tons and tons, wonder where they will get it.
I'm pretty sure gravel is crushed rock not concrete. It will get ground up into gravel, would be my guess.
It will be ground up on site, then fill brought in.Question for those who know about such things, what do they do with all the old concrete? Shove it in a landfill somewhere or is there a way to recycle?
Maybe they will dig a lake for the RV lots...If they're raising the lots 5', that's a hell of lot of fill, but I guess they can grind the old stuff right there and use it as fill, but I imagine they still have to bring in tons and tons, wonder where they will get it.
They are hauling it to Iowa City.Question for those who know about such things, what do they do with all the old concrete? Shove it in a landfill somewhere or is there a way to recycle?
