I haven’t read this whole thread, but the actual question the Iowa Athletics Department needs to ask themselves is why are there a block of 200 tickets available for a Saturday conference home game in February.
So.... there is a technicality. So, Iowa AD is technically justified in doing what he is doing. Just looks like a weakling in charge of a program that has a contiguous block of 200 seats available for an in conference rivalry game on a Saturday.
But..... technically justified.
If the Orange Crush wants to get better PR, don't appear sneaky (even if there are good reasons to do it that way.)

Group sales at eiu,...."I just got 200 for Illinois!!!!" Rest of sales team,....."Whatever".
AD,..."Great job group sales team!!!"
Name check the teams/schools that would allow the transaction in the first place.
Going to have to order some Illinois gear to wear. Maybe Raygun will come up with something snarky
Since they already have the buses, just ride to IC and probably will be able to pick some up on the cheap before the game. I don't think they have been close to a sell out other than against ISU.

Looks a bit messy, given the alleged fraudulent application for the tickets. Of course, anyone can sue anyone for anything...but that doesn't mean they will win.
Thought you meant they were planning something new from the already reported story.

Hate to say it but the Orange Krush got posterized by the Iowa AD. This is not a new thing for them, buying up tickets under fake organizations and invading opponents’ arenas but this time they chose a real charity to impersonate and got burnt once they were caught in the lie.
Why would that cathedral of college basketball be selling discounted tickets?
