Really like his game. Excited to see who TJ and his staff land, because all the '24 targets are really interesting. Between the '23 class and provided the '24 class hits on at least a couple guys, I think the offensive struggles will improve a ton. Guys like Momcilovic and then a Janowski or an Indrusaitis bring a lot of feel/touch/talent for the game on that end that I think is the big thing missing right now at times.
True. ... Side note, the mention of Vroman strayed from Gunner's list of Euro origin players (so Vroman/Nader wouldn't be included anyway). If that qualifies we might as well add Abdel Nader who was born in Egypt but moved to the States when he was 8. Not European but definitely Mediteranean.
You referring to Asailleft or Asailright?Conor Assalley has to be included from the football side.
Nojus played for the Lithuanian U16 National Team this summer. He made the All-Tournament team and Lithuania won the U16 FIBA Championship.
Watch some of his highlights playing in Chicago. Much more physical than the European competition. He's really elusive, has good body control and a soft touch on his shots. Since he didn't face a very physical style of defense, that will require an adjustment period, but he's really versatile and fun to watch. I also love how a lot of European players seem naturally comfortable driving with either hand.
What I like most about the Euro game is the concentration on skills. There are so many US players who try to just make it on athleticism or a physical trait (e.g. really tall). In Europe most post players learn footwork (often from playing soccer) and how to dribble and drive. If you don't, your one dimensional game will get exposed against the many posts who can handle and pass. Guards have to learn these skills really well also or they are in danger of losing their jobs to smaller posts who can handle and pass. He's really elusive, has good body control and a soft touch on his shots. I didn't know Laguna, California was in Europe...Yeah i just meant originally
I got it. My post wasn't meant to be an indictment of your comments. Sorry if that is how it sounded. I get how Vroman got put in there. Just because you have a Lebanese name doesn't mean you were born in Lebanon (also not in Europe for the record).True. ... Can’t forget Georgios TsalmpourisWe have a fine tradition of Euros at ISU. Michalik, Hubalek, Staiger, Kunc.
No worries, I didn't interpret your comment in that way. (I knew you were clarifying the general "theme")I got it. My post wasn't meant to be an indictment of your comments. He was Lebanese, so Asian technically not European. My mistakeI didn't know Laguna, California was in Europe...

He’s a nice shooter too. I’d actually put his player comp almost to Christian Braun from Kansas. About 2 inches shorter. Nice athleticism at 6’5” though.Lots of nice dunks. Hopefully he can shoot the three really well.

And our O-Line should be stellar next year also.I agree. They are really building something. Next year, a lot depends on who comes back. Do they get Grill, Jones, Ward, Tre King back? If all four return, we have a top 25 team if not top 10. You get Williams off of injury, who can play the 2 and move over to PG when Lipsey is out. Grill and Watson at the 3, Bilyeu, King and Momcilivic at the 4, Jones and Ward at the 5. Still a little light on 3 point shooting and maybe a little undersized at C behind Jones, but this is probably the most talented ISU roster in years.
