Why limit it to a 5?

The 3rd string 5 that’s an upperclassman isn’t a great use of a scholarship for a roster on the bubble in terms of talent. If something better is possible, they’ll pursue it. Someone like Omaha

Jones transferred here last year to be a role player and mostly a culture setter and practice/emergency body. He played more than planned last year with Foster leaving. Now he’s back to his original role.

Plus the deadline to transfer out has already passed, and he’s already used his one free transfer.

We aren’t playing 13 guys.

Nobody is going to transfer in if they don't have a clear path to playing time.
