I’m still not sure what game some of you guys watch. The play calling today was pretty good. There is only so much you can do when your line is as bad as ours is this year. We can’t run because a Breece gets hit in the backfield every time. We can’t pass because Brock is running for his life. We also can’t run a screen because that gets blown up too. I don’t think anyone has been happy with our offense this year but that starts with having competent o-line play.

Back to the Rhoads days! Awesome!

My top three stupid play calls from today:

1. Trying to run a halfback pass late in the game on 3 and 2. - JUST GIVE IT TO BREECE STRAIGHT AHEAD and get the 1st down
2. Running a fade route to Sean Shaw on 3rd down at the end - KEEP TRHOWING TO THE TE's
3. The pass pass - WHO IS THE MORON WHO DESIGNED THIS PLAY WITHOUT KNOWING A BASIC Fing RULE

I think Dekkers was supposed to hand the ball to Noel. I have no idea why he wouldn’t have

Remember when a bunch of people were defending Manning just because ISU was breaking (pitiful) offensive school records? Even though his play calling was still as suspect as it is today...
I just think CMC practices what he preaches in that he is ridiculously loyal.

I will not be sad if Manning goes somewhere. Hell, my big fear is that the is our next coach.

But....I'm not sure there has been an obvious sure fire time to move on from him to this point.

Has Manning ever heard of a play called the screen pass? You know, to try to get the ball in the hands of our All American RB? AND to keep the defense honest and from constantly bringing pressure straight up the middle?

Also, why can't the coaches tell the QB to mix up the snap count!? OU timed it perfectly nearly all game long.

tom really struggles with blitz packages, anticipating and countering them, he just doesn’t have enough experience at what he’s doing yet

first play of the game today was a screen to Breece, he had lots of room but Newell missed his block.

You are probably correct... but my question is..., why bring Dekkers in for that play in the first place? If we rotated quarterbacks or had a "Dekkers" package earlier in the game or something than its whatever. But unless Brock had to leave the field .... its just weird to bring in a back-up QB and then try a trick play when Im sure Oklahoma's defensive coordinator was probably screaming watch the trick play at that point

While this has to be true, you don’t see pass plays out of forward handoffs to often either. Also, Noel probably should have aborted on the play anyway once it was obvious the OU defense didn’t bite.

Was Brock on the field during that play?
