I honestly can't believe there isn't some loser sitting in a lawn chair at the Jacobson Building to report if Prohm shows up there for a meeting.

That is not true at all. TJ had a winning record in his first year. TJ brought in 6 transfers that first year. Most important was
Elijah Mitrou-Long. So much for the myth that TJ won with someone else’s players that first year. This last year was a losing record. UNLV had a terrible start at 1-6 including losses to Alabama and North Carolina. Which also included a win over Kansas State. Otzelberger caught Covid-19 in December during the basketball season.

I am sure that Otzelberger’s entire record will be looked at. The fact that he has been on staff as an Assistant at P5 Schools for about 10 years including a stint as Associate Head Coach under Fred. The fact that Otzelberger has been a Head Coach at 2 different Mid-Majors for the last 5 seasons. With winning records all 3 years at South Dakota including 2 NCAA bids and a couple Conference Tourney’s but a disappointing 3rd year finish in the Conference Tourney after winning the regular season title that year.

10 years as a P5 Assistant. 5 years as a Mid Major Head Coach with some success. All done by the age of 43 years. And he is known for being a great recruiter. I see TJ as a viable candidate. Along with many others. Really don’t understand the complete hatred of TJ. Remembering back to how extremely important we thought it was that TJ come back for Prohm’s first year. Probably a very good thing we did that.
He also ran his own AAU Team when he was 14 years old.

Isn't this just really bad optics right now??? Pandemic...people out of work...numerous small businesses lost...college spends $10,000,000+ to fire and replace its basketball coach...
The college didn't force people out of work or small businesses to close.

I would think the federal government spending 70-80% (a couple trillion) of "stimulus" money on things other than actual stimulus would be more concerning optics wise.

I’m a big enough Cyclone fan that if I was a billionaire and $10 million was like 10 thousand to me, I’d gladly pay up.
Nothing for a billionaire. 1%. Make that up in a good week in the market. So thinking more in terms of normal people money, if you've got 250K in your 401K you would have to scrape up 2,500 to buy him out.
