Head coach Bill Fennelly is looking for his 700th career win, sitting at 699 all-time. Iowa State is looking for its first sweep in Big 12 play, after defeating Kansas State, 91-69 in Ames on Dec. 18 in the Cyclones' Big 12 home opener.

• Junior Ashley Joens is eighth in the nation in scoring, averaging 24.6 points a game. Joens earned multiple National Player of the Week nods last week after scoring a combined 57 points and grabbing 27 boards in wins over OSU and at Baylor.
• Joens is one of two players in the nation averaging over 24+ points and 9+ rebounds per game. She has four career 30-point, 15-rebound performances. All other former Cyclones combine for three all-time.
• Iowa State women's basketball is ranked 29th in the NET rankings. Iowa State has played 15 games this season, which is among the top-20 in nation for games played. MANHATTAN, Kansas - K-State continues its week-long home stand on Thursday night, as the Wildcats host Iowa State at 6:30 p.m.

In our game at Hilton KSU had the lead at the half 40-36. We blitzed them in the 2nd half to win 91-69. After losing that game and the next to Texas they had their next five games postponed.

We were 11-16 from three in the 2nd half. Scott was 5-6 from downtown and MEM was 4-6. They like Lee clogging up the middle and blocking or impacting shots in the paint, not out guarding Scott so Scott may get more good looks in this game. Not realistic to have her hit 80% of them like free throws though.

They have only played five Big 12 games and lost all of them. They are last in the league in scoring and in the middle on defense for conference games. The 91 they gave up to us skews their conference game states (plus only five games), they are #2 for all games and only gave up 60 to ranked Kentucky. Most of our other games are in the 60's.

Watched some of the OSU at KSU game a few days ago. Lee spent most of the game on the bench in foul trouble. It was a slug of a game with OSU going on big run in the fourth to win 69-55. Ranke and Carr made threes but the rest of the KSU team bricked and Lee only played 15 minutes.

No predictions, just don't look for another ISU score in the 90's.

IMO this K-State team is actually better than what their record suggests. They hang tough with their opponents in every game since they restarted until the middle part of the 4 qt, then fell apart late. I'd expect a hard-fought game because K-State is dying for their first Big12 win and ISU wants to bounce back.

This is Emily Ryan's sort of "homecoming" game. I read online the rumor says her high school coach with her old team was planning to take a bus to Manhatten to watch Emily play, don't know if that's still true, but would definitely expect a lot of her family and friends there.

I don't know what I feel about the game, with up and down the sisters have been playing lately. But if we do win the game, Ashley must play well and get help from other players.
