Does anyone know how to properly pronounce Kylie's last name? I have heard announcers go back and forth between FUR-bok and FEWER-bok, even within the same game.

Bored Guy Pre-game Musings:

The Cowgirls are off to a 5-0 start in this Covid disrupted Big 12 schedule. Their Big 12 opponents are a combined 4-19 (counting TCU’s 0-5 twice for 0-10) in league play. We are 3-1 against a Big 12 slate of teams that are 3-12 in league play. Nine games played in league by tonight’s two teams and seven have been against the bottom four of the league. Both squads have feasted on the bottom teams like they should. I’d call their 5-0 and our 3-1 sort of a push for comparing at this quarter way point.

OSU doesn’t hit the toughest part of their schedule till next month. We will hit ours in the next couple of weeks with Baylor twice (maybe) and Texas before the end of the month. This is a relatively big game for us IMHO (defend home court) and maybe even bigger depending on how this month turns out for us and next month turns out for the Cowgirls as far as who finishes above who.

Skewed a little by who we’ve both played but ISU is #1 in Big 12 games in offense and OSU is #2 in defense. Ryan is leading the league in assists per game with an impressive 8.0 in league game. Joens is first scoring at 22.0 OSU's Mack is 3rd in scoring, 1st in boards and 1st in blocks.

Whether Scott can play or not is, of course, the big wildcard at gametime tonight. If Scott is able to play and play all of her usual minutes I like the Cyclones to win this being at home and all. If Scott is unable to go it’s going to be way tougher sledding. Mack has been very good in Big 12 play, player of the week last week with a triple double and averaging 18.6 pts 11.0 reb 5.6 blocks 2.8 ast. Play in the paint is going to be interesting.

Will Izzi be available?
No. Still going through some COVID protocols, etc. And even if good with that, not counting on any real contribution this year. Mainly just wanted to get her to campus due to inactivity of any sports in Canada.

Kane banking in a three is probably a sign from the basketball gods that it is our game to lose at this point. :D

Playing our tempo and we are hitting threes, looking pretty good.

I missed the whole first half, was talking with my mom. Should I start listening or just stay away?

This team plays a fun brand of ball. Good passing and shooting always makes it easier to watch. They have a high ceiling this season and are set up for a few good years with this roster. Donarski's shooting form is perfect.

Noah W. just said the team is headed to the locker room at the end of the third quarter. Sigh.
BTW, who is Brett Cooper?
