What have we accomplished to warrant good commentary? I wonder what the viewership is? You want good commentators, the product on the floor needs to be worth watching.

Seniors are great. But I'm meh on ones that a) aren't 4 year guys and b) have contributed to some of our worst efforts in school history

I'm with you. Not impressed with Harris. JC-L and Johnson are fine, but meh when you have to rely on them for 30+mpg. Bolton is a good player but makes too many mistakes. Time to let the young guys give it a go.

ISU players don't improve. That's why we rely on really athletic, talented people. Pick a sport.

I don't agree with "pick a sport" and I don't know how you could think that way after watching Campbell and his staff the past 5 years.

I do think you have a point with Prohm. Nader and Naz had their best seasons under Prohm, and Burton got better from year 1 to year 2 here, but since then it's been tough to identify any real development going on. Regardless of position. Only the extremely talented have panned out for Steve, and most of them left the program early. Guys who were also talented but raw, T-Lew, Zion, Jakolby Long, Caleb Grill just to name a few, couldn't be transformed by this staff into anything better than they were as HS seniors. They all left early too. This lack of development has created a never ending cycle of rebuilds, and Steve is not doing a good job in that dept either.

To pile on, you could even say several players regressed in their time in the program. Wigginton, Jacobson, Lard- who surprised and then regressed- Conditt trending in that direction now too

really sad, he needs to get out, reflect on what he did here, and rebuild his career...Greg McDermott looked at what he did, learned from it and is a lot better coach now...steve should do the same

It was bandied about last year right about this time that his personal life was really really taking its toll. Wife doesn't like Ames. Wife hates he's not around seeing his small kids grow up. If COVID didn't happen, I think he would have left for a smaller conference gig closer to where he or his wife were from. It's clear he's defeated.

None of those guys have what it takes to be competitive.

Johnson...... Brick. .... Turnover...... Didn't box out. Oooooh, nice move and score..... Brick. ...... Turnover..... Brick. ....... Oh, nice fada way for 2. .... .....etc....etcc... "Brick!"

Bolton could be good, if he could be a D. Jackson type player (Big 12 Title team). He makes too many bad decisions running the offense.

I DVR’d the game and watched it last night—-this team doesn’t have the same personnel that made us successful at the beginning of Prohm’s tenure. No PG, stretch 4, slasher, or max effort rebounder. We have 12 guys that can’t create or shoot 3’s above 35%. There is a solid chance we go 5-20 this year

Yep it was so obvious. Prohm had 6 nba players including 2 first round picks and got out coached and dominated by the worst at large in team in NCAA history.

I watched that Ohio St team a few times that year and they were by far the worst team to ever get an at-large bid. They wwre absolute garbage and knew the only way to beat us was to make the game as ugly as possible and that's exactly what happened. Prohm had no clue how to attack them.
