I thought Herman had a really good gamplan, he probably outcoached us in the first quarter but the strength of our defensive staff is adjustments. Defensively, depth on the line was the difference and on offense, having Milton back was big. The TE's were great and Shaw played well but Milton brings something no one else can.
Loved seeing Matt get emotional. The players will it love too, thinking maybe today was the day it all loved them back.

Sweet!!! And as a KC Chiefs fan Priest Holmes is not far removed from memory. It often seems that the announcer is saying Priest Holmes instead of Beece Hall (which he is, correctly) when Breece runs the ball.

He was pretty solid the first 3 years, after that things fell apart. I will tell you one thing, Rhoads was the first coach that made me believe that we could actually do what we did today. For whatever reason, Mac's teams never made me believe that.

It's also the reason why I'm one of the few that doesn't get nervous when the talking heads talk about where he might be coaching next year. He loves coaching in Ames, and he's well aware the grass isn't necessarily greener elsewhere. If he leaves, he leaves. I just don't think he will.
