I remember he was a decent, serviceable QB, but not exactly a guy I’d hope for in a QB now.
Am I just misremembering it was there not enough talent around him at the time?

He conjures up the outlaw, gunslinger type to me. I think that's the fascination moreso than the results on the field.

Seems to me the problems at Ioway are equally blameable on the RBs. Both Sergeant and the guy who is "as good as Breece," Tyler Goodson, fumbled deep in Purdue territory.

While still true, as far as their fans infesting our forums, having seen them play now it looks like we missed out on one of their worst teams in years. Of those, you have two pretty much for sure wins in MSU and ILL. You have two toss ups in NW and Nebraska. And you have have three likely losses in Minny, PSU and Wiscy. It's more likely Iowa goes 4-4 than 5-3.
