That's a bummer. Hope he gets better and comes back strong.
This season is a lost cause anyway. Just get healthy for next year Blake!!
Not saying this is the case but for the same reason (HIPAA) they can’t tell you what the medical condition is they ALSO can’t say that it is COVID related, because that is sharing information about a disease he had.

They can share it if they have his authorization to share it. No HIPAA violation there. The athletic department put out a press release saying it's not COVID related. They aren't going to do that unless it's true and they have his permission to share it. There are any number of reasons why a person might want to keep their medical status private while eliminating COVID speculation.
Can somebody remind: does it seem we have all-too-frequent pre-season injuries? Just about every season is seems.

I don't know that this is confirmed to be an injury. The press release just says medical condition.
That is too bad it seemed he was really excited to get here and play with this team. Hopefully he comes back full strength next year.
Hinson missed some games for Ole Miss last season with a blood abnormality. I wonder if it’s the same issue.
That was a forgone conclusion when it said he will miss the entire season, unless the season has now been reduced to 14 days.
