try the 19-20 transfer recruiting thread. This one is all about JCL.Why hasn’t anyone talked about Justin Smith, the transfer from Indiana we’re about to land?

I’m confident with where we stand with himWhat makes you think we're gonna land him?
Sounds like Iowa State is in a good spot.I’m confident with where we stand with him

Uhh yeah. That team looks pretty salty. Definitely something to be excited about as far as overall potential and future starting lineups go!Harris
Coleman-Lands
Bolton
Smith
Young

Jackson
Johnson
Conditt/Foster
...not trying to say anything unkind here about the other three freshman... just went with experience/tenure first and then % ranking for Foster...
That team looks a heck of a lot better than last year even without Haliburton.
Sounds like we need a Justin Smith thread.

Lol why is Bolton at the 3 and Coleman-Lands at the 2?
Probably not in the general sense imo, but if the top of your list represents the most pg or lead guard attributes, Bolton should be above JCL. His 3P rate is much lower (whereas JCL is quite high), his FT rate higher, his assist rate much higher, his usage higher, etc. Add in anecdotes from the Illinois board that JCL is a one dribble guy, whereas Bolton has at least played pg, and this may be one of those rare times in which it’s worth the delineation.Does it matter...?
They're pretty similar sizes and builds from what I can tell.
Not sure the 2/3 have different roles above.
