Wierd how Reynolds won't be going to church in person or to a farmers market this weekend and Grassley won't be dining out.

I mean, they aren't requiring people to go to restaurants and churches, just giving the option. Trusting people to make that choice for themselves.

They are requiring the employees to come in and there are a lot of science deniers that are going to go to the restaurants.

If everything’s fine why wouldn’t she get back to normal like she suggests?
Because everything's not fine. It's also not the governor's responsibility to micro manage people's personal choices. If a politician advocates for the legalization of marijuana, or other drugs, that doesn't mean they have to smoke it themselves.

I’m good as long as I don’t run out of coffee

Made my first in-store grocery run in 47 days yesterday, been ordering online for pickup or delivery. Bought coffee java, it was even on sale. :)

However, TP and tissues shelves were entirely empty. :(

Have to? No. They can if they want to.

They don't "have to" in the sense that no one is putting a gun to their head and forcing them to work. But many "have to" if they want to provide food, housing, etc. for themselves/their families. If they don't report to work when called, they'll lose unemployment benefits and there isn't exactly a wealth of other employment options around right now for ex-restaurant workers, plus a one time check for $1,200 won't last indefinitely.

So I'm not the only one that thought the press conference was weird as hell, right? I'm a church-goer (on occasion) but that felt like trying to justify her position on churches. Way to much focus on that topic; having that person on to discuss all the things churches are doing was unnecessary and comical.

Agreed.

I liked Hope’s statement on reopening - they’ll do so when it’s “legal, safe, and wise”

Obviously not every church is like them, but seems like a good mantra

Agree, but keeping businesses closed so that employees can draw unemployment benefits instead of working is not sustainable, and bad policy. At what point does the state run out of unemployment money, if they haven't already? There are tons of stories out there about people that have tried to collect unemployment and have been unable to for over a month because the system if overrun with claims.

Our church sent out a survey asking our feelings on returning when they open up, will we bring our kids or will we stay home because we have kids and what not. Would be interesting to know the responses to that.

Around here the TP and sanitizer stocks have been replenished for the last couple of weeks. It may be a little hit and miss depending on the time of day/week, but there seems to be enough around.

The only things I've been looking for and can't find are yeast and Clorox wipes.

The last time I was at fareway all they had was single rolls for sale.
