The surprising one to me is 52401 downtown where there aren't a lot of people living but yet has 5 deaths.

with only 7 cases? that is weird. I thought maybe it had to do with the hospitals - but they aren't in 52401 - there must be a care facility somewhere downtown

Are you going to wait things out till a vaccination arrives? You might be waiting for several years to come out of your house.

I'm not sure there's been many people that haven't gotten out and about a bit, it's just with precautions.

Personally I will continue to avoid crowds but I do anyway and will live just fine without things that aren't actual needs to begin with.

Eventually you will pick it up at the grocery store, hardware store, or from a family member. The key is to keep the infections at a level where hospitals aren’t overwhelmed. Eventually everyone will be in contact with the virus.

could be - I noticed that zip also includes new bo and oak-hill jackson neighborhoods

I'm sure all the non-CR folks are enthralled with this conversation :)
You keep mentioning streets and neighborhoods. I always figured you navigated CR by smell. "Head straight until you smell the General Mills plant then turn left and drive until you smell the wastewater treatment plant..."

Also, people might start trying to bake it out of themselves since it was asked if we can just use UV lights through the skin.

The doctors at these briefings must be bewildered.

Anybody who listened to what Trump was saying, and thinks that he was suggesting that people should inject themselves with bleach, or get extreme sunburns, probably should go ahead and try it. ;).

If she’s allowing farmers markets to open she might as well allow everything else. Des Moines farmers market gets as busy as a small fair. There’s no room to walk. People breathing down people’s necks. Won’t catch me down there.

I’m sure you will in your little ball sucking your thumb for the next 18 months until a vaccine is available. Carry one

Anybody that listens to and takes seriously anything Trump has ever said should definitely try it.

Well he talked about the possibility of injecting disenfectant to treat the virus. I would love to hear you explain what he meant by that that doesn't involve something bat sh!t crazy that would kill you.

And if it doesn't work after an hour take a double dose.

That would be 35% of the population that resides on the left. They listen and take everything he says seriously. The rest of us normal people couldn't care less what he says, we are much more interested in what he does.

That's right. We need action. We need you to swallow a bottle of bleach, post haste...

They weren't suggestions.

It was asked of the Dr.s there if injections of disinfectent or sun in the body were options.

At a nationally televised briefing about a pandemic that is connected to over 50,000 US deaths in under 2 months.

Just sarcasm though. Totally appropriate and it's just gonna be ambers by fall so it will be others' faults for a second (or third) wave.
