Iowa really starting to feel the backlash of Tiger King.

Funny story about him. He was actually going to commit to Iowa and probably would have stuck with them but he still wanted to visit Iowa State and Nebraska. When he found out about the no visit policy he didn't want to go to a program "that wasn't secure in themselves". His exact words

I wish Iowa hadn’t backed off this kid, as he appears to have a very high ceiling.
Imagine being this delusional. Tryharder surely will have some great insight here soon. Or did he get banned and this is your new user name?

This is Benji I'm pretty sure. Brodie would be a realistic username for the "grad student"

Yeah that's not what happened lol. They were ready to take this commitment and even tweeted about it

Correct. However, instead of committing, he named Iowa his leader. And now, several months later, Iowa has shifted its focus to other prospects.

So Iowa thought they were getting his commitment but he backed off when he told them he wanted to visit Iowa State and Nebraska

It's amazing how Iowa only gets the kids they only really really want....

Mbow went from nearly committing to Iowa and naming Iowa as his leader, to no longer mentioning Iowa as one of the schools standing out to him in the span of two months. If you want to believe that’s solely the product of how much better Iowa State and Nebraska are doing at recruiting him (but apparently only over the last two months), have at it.
