Word has it the only reason he left is to get to the NFL a year before Purdy so he can fully learn a team's defensive scheme before Purdy enters the league so as to give him the best chance to shut down Purdy his first year.
Wrong. He will only be in on passing downs. He doesn't need to learn the entire defensive scheme.

May not matter when the pads come on but for now not a very impressive combine for AJ. 17 reps on the bench, only ran a 5.05 40. Haven't seen his Vertical or Broad jump numbers yet.

Per my Hawk friends “Doyle doesn’t train them to do well in the 40 and Bench Press. He’s the best in the business though”
He consistently puts players who graduated high school with not much of an expected NFL future into the NFL. Some people consider that good, you do what you want with it.

Doyle is a great S&C coach. I was more pointing out the excuse from my friends on why he has tested poor so far.
