Iowa beat Nebraska, Iowa beat ISU, ISU beat Texas. The QB's have an inordinate influence on a game, but aren't the sole reason's for Wins and losses.
Not according to 4 of the 6 reputable metrics. That is pretty bad though, if you are going to not even care about 3 games, you'd probably better win more than 5 games against the teams you do care about. Heck Kirk Ferentz went 10-3 in the games he cared about.
In all honesty it's pretty unfair to Nate Stanley to credit those wins to Kirk Ferentz instead of him
Coaches have to carry around all wins and losses, no matter if it is a punt return team blunder, or a QB fumble that causes a loss.
Iowa wins games, most people put the Wins and losses on the QB, and obviously Ferentz takes on the wins and losses.
Still wondering how you feel about CMC being a .500 coach in games he cares about this year. Not good.
He needs to win a bunch more games. More to being a QB than posting stats.
So Stanley finished last in the putrid Big Ten West every season he was the starter? Yikes!
Brock definitely seems like the type that would rather "pad his stats" than win games. No wonder our seniors said he and Lima were the two best leaders they've ever been around
