Jfc the delusion

So Prohm gets no credit for Cameron Payne, Isaiah Canaan, Lindell Wigginton or Talen Horton Tucker along with the development of Abdel Nader, Matt Thomas, Monte Morris, Deonte Burton because they were always going to the NBA?

but their lord and savior Kirk ferentz had 1 arm blind and deaf kids and turned them into nfl picks.

Rational fans would realize that Kirk Ferentz and Steve Prohm are actually very similar. Great eyes for under the radar talent and elite developers of certain position groups.

Honestly from what I've read on their boards most are realizing it probably is the right pick. And they're depressed because Fran sucks and that class is brutally bad. Real bad.
Yeah most have been pretty rational, to be honest.
My post above is the one lunatic I’ve seen

I'm actually shocked at the responses so far on HR and HN (I don't follow Twitter much) I've seen lots of "He made the smart choice bball-wise" and "Wish him well in all but one game" type posts.

"....now we're stuck with four ****wits with no offers outside of Iowa ...". I'm dying laughing at this one.

EDIT: Original tweet was deleted by mod for excessive use of the F-bomb by an irate Iowa fan (who'd like to see Fran gone)

The really neat thing is those guys still appreciate ISU and stay in contact with the team. I think the BB alumni thing Prohm does every summer is going to pay dividends down the road. Great day for the Foster's, Prohm and the staff.

Is their a more delusional fan base than that team out east? I'm so happy I don't work in Iowa anymore. I couldn't stand talking to fans that couldn't even spell Hawkeyes without looking it up. Their lives revolve around the Hoks playing the Clones.

My daughter teaches at Oskaloosa High School. She has had him in one of her classes. Here is, verbatim, the text she sent me a few minutes ago:

“Don’t be upset about Xavier Foster’s choice. He’s an academic nightmare, arrogant, and has next to nothing for work ethic.”

Sounds like a perfect fit for ISU.

This is not “sour grapes” from her, either. She cares nothing about sports. About a year ago I jokingly asked her to tell Foster to go to Iowa or she will flunk him. Her reply was much the same as her text.

I hope all the best for the kid, but the NBA may not be the sure thing he thinks it is.

I really do not know the academic standards for either school, but judging by the outside, it seems like ISU might help him more with that than Iowa would. Seems like Iowa would hold their players more accountable than ISU. That's just my outside observation, is there any truth to my outside view? Other than what I've observed over the years in football and basketball, it seems that Iowa holds them more accountable.

Thoughts?

I agree:
Kirk has done an amazing job of finding and developing OL, so that point is valid. But if all those guys were sure fire NBA players when the came to ISU then, well, they wouldn't have come to ISU. They would have gone to Kentucky, or Kansas, or North Carolina. Both guys are good at finding talent that others have overlooked for the most part.
