Serious question: What do most kids who play on grass do for shoes when they go to the dome? Just wear the same cleats on the turf? I have never played any sport on turf.

Most big schools here have field turf, so I would think it would be a non-issue for Iowa's big schools, because I assume they all have turf now too.

IIRC field turf is cleat friendly...there may be limits for length of cleat though.

Back when it was regular turf it was basketball or running shoes of some sort.

A lot of kids wear cleats in the dome and on turf in general. Mine prefers turf shoes

My son is a junior at CF and has played on grass 3 times in 2 years. It’s crazy how many schools have turf these days.

I played and practiced on field turf all though high school. Only played at a few schools with a grass field. There’s a cleat that has better traction on fake grass than on real grass, which is what I used. Cleats for real grass would work on turf, and shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

On the old turf at the UNI-Dome 12 years ago, we all went and purchased b-ball shoes and wore them for the 2 games at the dome. Then went on to wear them for most of b-ball season as well.

Go ALGONA Bulldogs. #3 seed in 2 A
Not if OABCIG has anything to say about it! ;)

I have heard that Algona is a pretty physical team all the way around. OABCIG has a pretty unique offense with almost exclusively 5 wide recievers and a quarterback that is probably one of the very elite in the state. Should be a great game.
