True but a similar argument could be made with Baylor. Baylor's SOS is weaker than Minnesota's.
Baylor has beaten Iowa State though, which is a good win. And if you're using the "respected" AP poll, Baylor and Minnesota both are 6-0, yet Baylor is rated higher. So obviously the voters are questioning how good Minnesota is and believe Baylor is better right now.

Yeah, even in their fakest ID year Iowa beat Wisconsin and Northwestern on the road (I think). To reach that level of faux-competitiveness, the Gophs would have to at least match wins like that. Doubtful.

Didn't Wisconsin have to fumble it on 4th and goal to give that game to Iowa?

I used the AP poll because I assumed it was the "go to" poll on this board. My apologies....

You mean on the Iowa 1 yard line? Well sure, but that was just 1 of Wisconsin’s 3 (4?) fumbles that game.

Had Christian McCaffrey fumbled a few times, I suppose Iowa could have won that game too.

How wasn't that win "earned"? Turnovers are part of the game.
There's a stat about turnovers and luck, and although some turnovers happen to be lucky, a lot of them come from guys knowing where to be and having the skill to make the play.

Yep, Desmond King had two INTs and Drew Ott had a strip sack. Great players and Hawks.

Iowa also had two Turnovers and a missed FG in that game.

D-back interceptions are usually caused by great technique and correct coverage. King was phenomenal at doing both of those things and that's why he's playing on Sundays.

Yep, he also had great film study. A lot of those INTs were because of how much film work he did. He knew some of the plays and routes before the ball was even snapped including the INT against ISU that year.

Iowa caused him to trip on his own accord?

Our DT blew up the play and was in the backfield during the QB/RB exchange. I think the RB saw that and knew he needed to make a quick move to avoid a 4 yard loss and didn't secure the ball before that happened. Kind of the same thing happened to Goodson against PSU.

Thank God the NCAA decided not to screw you guys on Oliver Martin like you think they did on Drew Ott right?
