Also the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's official winter seasonal outlook will be released in October. Hopefully that will predict a better outcome.

Pretty humorous when the 2nd paragraph of the article says:
"While this forecast trends around this time every year, the more than 200-year-old almanac shouldn't be given too much weight on its own."

This is what they projected last year. Which if I recall seems fairly accurate:

COLD WINTER AHEAD!
So just how cold will it be? The real teeth-chattering arrives mid-February especially in the following zones: Northeast/New England, Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, Midwest, and Southeast (yes, even the Southeast will be in the chill zone!!)
