There are some questions popping up the scientific sector that although the soil that was around the worms was carbon dated, the actual worms themselves have not been, thus not ruling out contamination.

I agree. Contamination is really difficult to avoid when it comes to sampling in the field.

But if they ARE legit, I think that this is something to be concerned about.

Nah, people will want to revive the population up to a point where they can having a hunting season so they can have more stuff to kill.
