Sox fans going to get payback for the Sosa trade many years ago it appears.

Not trolling, but he's got a chance to be really good for a long time. He's terribad in left field and will be a DH before he hits 30, but he can hit the crap out of a baseball.

Strop is a setup man at best. Kimbrel can't get here quick enough, that said you have to score runs.

I am taking the family to the Mets game on Saturday, let's hope for lots of runs and no rain.

A lot of the bullpen woes hopefully go away when Kimbrel is ready and if Morrow can ever get healthy that will help a ton too. Kimbrel closing and Cishek, Strop, and hopefully (probably wishful thinking at this point) a healthy and effective Morrow to cover the 7th and 8th innings the bullpen would be much more stable. And supposedly they are shopping around for a lefty specialist right now which is badly needed because Monty has not been that good this year and Collins and Ryan suck.

Still have worries about the inconsistent offense. Hamels threw 7 solid innings and yeah Strop blew it but come on the White Sox suck and have one of the worst pitching staffs in baseball this year and all you could muster up is a solo shot by Schwarber to lead off the game? Seen this scenario play out too many times over the last few seasons where they get solid pitching and the offense can't do their job and score a few runs.

Strop reminds me of this left hander the Cubs had about 10 years ago.....looked really good some of the time....great stuff. He was traded to Yankees. Forget name. The thing about him, after about three live pitches, you could tell he was either on....or off. I think maybe it was Pinella coaching.....you just prayed this guy could put it together....but he couldn't. Strop is this way....and Maddon should know this. You know if he is on in three pitches....and if he sucks, then don't sit there and hold your palm out with wishes in it.

I wonder what will happen first....the Cubs next World Series Win or the next Cyclone Football Conference Championship?

I feel like I would hate being a defensive player for Lester. Just seems like he can be a real dousche like on that KB play.

I always try to be empathetic and considerate....I put myself in other peoples' shoes regularly. I can totally get why other fans would hate "Go, Cubs, Go". I have had mixed feelings about it since the first drunk soprano rendition I heard in 1991.
That said....I sing it.

I think it tempers it when the teammates know that the guy is also his own harshest critic. He holds himself to an extremely high standard and accepts responsibility for his own failures. I definitely would not talk to the guy in the dugout when he is pitching.
