Met the kid on the way out of the gym... Said he will do all of the games. I was looking for the dunk at the 24:35 mark of the game Leech and he had it. Kid had a business card too. Must do it for a side gig or something.

Not exactly sure what you tried to say above, but the dunk at the 24:35 mark was not Leech. It was Joe Yesufu.

Typo... I know it wasn't Leech, but that dunk was sick in person. I just wanted to see it again.

I feel the best chance TL has to get mins is if he can defend and do it well. Prohm likes to run 4 and 1. Last season we had THT and MS who could defend the opposing 4. Given the potential lineup up of two 6' 2" guards and licorice whip THT we don't have great size at the wings. TL has the body but with Zion emerging TL can be outside looking unless he can devote himself to the defensive end.

Based on Sports Reference and 247 for sizes of our wings/guards...

6'1" / 170 Jackson
6'2" / 180 Bolton
6'2" / 189 Nixon
6'3" / 180 Grill
6'5" / 170 Leech
6'5" / 172 Haliburton
6'6" / 203 Lewis
6'6" / 205 Griffin

Yep, only two guys on that list have the size and bulk you are talking about.

If Zion Griffin develops into the stretch 4 Bill Self envisioned in a KU uniform and George Conditt emerges as an elite post in the Big 12 many think he will be we have a chance to be really dang good in a couple years. The backcourt is loaded with young potential.

Somewhat speculation but most would have TH, Bolton (if eligible) and Nixon in the starting 5. If and when we go 4 out and 1 inside who are we throwing in as 4th wing? Freshman Grill at 6'3"? Freshman Leech who is built similar as TH? Unless you are being sarcastic I think what you posted strengthens the gap we need in that 4th wing.

Some lock down defense being played on those CCL games. Should be able to tell a lot. We had a guy like 10 years ago just destroying everyone in those games and he ended up sucking. Can't remember his name though.
Not everyone that dominates the CCL succeeds in college but I’ve never seen someone look awful or even just okay in the CCL and then make an impact at ISU so in my opinion, looking good in the CCL is worth talking about. Doesn’t always mean they’ll be successful but it should at least give people something to be optimistic about.

I like how everyone in here refers to guys progression from last season as if it has been a long time. The season ended 3 months ago! These guys have 4.5 more months of off season, so what has happened so far is about 40% of that progression.

I agree with you and would add that it's been known for a while that the staff is high on Tre Jackson. This just reinforces that opinion for me.

Lewis is such a disappointment. He’s supposed to be a shooter and goes 3-12 with a HS line

Before i get downvoted, the staff shares the same sentiment in his development as a player.
Yesterday on the Cyclone Insider, Randy Peterson mentioned that the coaches were very impressed with Lewis this summer.

Dorsey-Walker. It's the situation I see Lewis in right now.

DW didn't light the court on fire, but showed potential. The season ends and we as fans are waiting for DW to make the jump Mat T. and Naz made, but he fizzled. I remember really liking Dorsey-Walker's game and being bummed because you want to see these guys succeed.

This is the most important start to a season Lewis will ever have. He looks the part for sure, and I'm still bullish on the season he'll have this year.
