As I have described it to somebody younger than me before, "Imagine Mean Girls if they were actually mean, even evil, to each other, instead of just cliquishness."

Gray area. I’d personally classify it as one, but if someone said it wasn’t and was a thriller or drama, I probably wouldn’t argue them on it.

Wiki has it as psychological horror which I think fits better. I mean it was written by Stephen King.

The rich guy that kills the other guy's wife on Strangers on a Train was the creepiest guy I have ever seen in a movie. I had to stop watching the movie, it was so bad.
