Naz Long style.
Naz knew at the beginning of the year that he was having severe problems with his hips that were causing him troubles to run, jump, shoot, etc. In that game against Iowa he could barely move and felt like he'd be a liability to the team if he would continue to try and "tough" it out. He then went and got surgery during the season. He didn't get surgery in the off season, try and play, and then stop.

I'm fine with it, just calling a spade a spade is all.

What spade you trying to call? It’s not like he played his only game against Iowa then shut it down.
They are similar situations, but Naz did not know he wanted to shut it down he honestly thought he could keep playing. His immobility and struggle during the Iowa game showed he couldn't endure the season and wanted to keep his eligibility. Naz did not knowingly go into the season thinking he was going to tough it out, make it to the Iowa game, and then stop.
